About the Role:
AusGroup are currently seeking a Senior Estimator to join the team based in Perth. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the groups’ estimating department and will influence the departments’ strategic direction.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- Understanding the importance of a company’s estimating process and general procedure
- Experience in a senior estimating capacity on large Painting & Blasting and Insulation projects or
- Experience in a senior estimating capacity on large Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP) and Fabrication projects
- Development of detailed estimates using the company standard formats
- Provide input into tender submissions
- Support the companies’ tender strategy, internal approvals, tender system and contracts negotiations
- Preparing and issuing detailed subcontracts
- Review of tender documentation and preparation of technical expectations
- Briefing the Pre-Contracts Manager on the specifics of successful tenders and carrying out internal tender “handover’ meetings of successful tenders of the project team
- Assisting in the calculation and production of work claims
- Implementing and working to the quality management system procedures
- Preparing and coordinating the subcontract components required for the tender submission
- Undertaking accurate material take-offs
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 - 10 years’ in a similar role
- Bachelor of Construction Project Management (Quantity Surveying/ Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field)
- Significant experience within the resources, oil and gas industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
