The Consolidated Minerals Group (ConsMin) was acquired in May 2017 by Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co (TMI), a world leading manufacturer of electrolytic manganese metals, based in China.

ConsMin is recognised as one of the world’s leading manganese producers and has operating mines in Australia and Ghana. ConsMin’s Pilbara based Woodie Mine site resumed mining in October 2017 following a period of care and maintenance.

We are currently recruiting a Serviceperson at our Woodie Manganese Operations, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara. The right applicant will be offered a competitive remuneration package, a 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth, and will enjoy staying in a comfortable camp with modern facilities.

Reporting to the workshop supervisor, the successful applicant will be required:

• Perform all work activities with the highest regard to industry safety standards;
• Demonstrate suitable skills and experience in servicing and refuelling surface mining equipment and ancillary mining equipment;
• Ability to understand and interpret OEM service manuals;
• Demonstrate suitable knowledge in use of appropriate power tools, pneumatic tools and hand tools;
• Demonstrate suitable knowledge of lubrication types, sampling, storage, filtration and dispensing;
• Ability to work in extreme conditions on a 12 hour shift rotation of day & night.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safely working with compressed air, pressurised cooling systems and hydraulic systems;
• The ability work independently to work as a team player within a dynamic and continuously changing work environment;
• Be self-motivated, proactive, express a positive attitude and have a keen interest in pursuing a career in mining long term;
• Maintain company Mining Fleet which consists of predominantly Hitachi, Cat and Komatsu equipment;
• Assist Fitters with daily tasks when necessary;
• Ensure safe working practises and good housekeeping in workshop and around the mine.
• Work independently as well as part of the Mobile Maintenance team as well as Liaising with other workshop personnel to complete tasks;

Requirements to be successful in this role are:

• Minimum 2 years mine site experience as serviceperson;
• Extensive product knowledge of CAT & Komatsu equipment;
• Current HR drivers licence is essential;
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail;
• Outgoing personality demonstrating initiative;
• Willingness to improve and add knowledge to the team;
