An opportunity has presented itself for an experienced HSE Advisor for a 6-12-month assignment based in Adelaide with occasional field work required. The key accountabilities for this role include:

• Ensuring continued legislative compliance with HSE and training requirements

• Relaying all health, safety and environmental information and training material to employees and contractors

• Provide relative information about industry compliance and requirements

• Lead incident investigations and implement logical, practical solutions to eliminate or reduce hazards

• Maintain safety related equipment registers, both electronically and hard copies

• Monitor and mentor all employees and contractors in regards to Job Hazard Analysis

• Gather and analyse statistical data for exploration monthly reports

• Conduct required timely workplace HSE inspections and audits

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within the mining industry

• Significant exposure to exploration

• 3 years’ minimum safety and industry experience

• Incident investigations utilising either the ICAM or Taproot methodology

Skills and Education required:

• Strong computer skills- MS Word, Excel, BMS, Power Point

• GIS (preferably ArcGIS)

• Diploma Occupational Health and safety (preferred but not essential)

• Certificate IV Occupational Health and Safety

• Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor (preferred but not essential)

• Certificate IV Trainer Assessor (preferred but not essential)

• Degree (BSc) in Environmental or OHS studies (preferred but not essential)

• 4WD RIIVEH305E Ticket

• HLTAID003 Provide First Aid

• C Class Licence
