Our client, an ASX listed exploration and development company, is offering an exciting “once in a career opportunity”, to be a part of a complete mine start up in a well preserved historical mine site located in South-East Asia. This ground floor project provides the opportunity to play a pivotal role in design and construction of a genuinely world class VMS operation, and will appeal to your desire to forge a lasting legacy within the international mining industry.
This is a rare opportunity for a Project Director to lead the development of this well-funded sizable world class base metals project.
You will be able to clearly demonstrate your mine development expertise operating at Project Director level or have solid experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering projects specifically from study through to production.
About the role
- Managing projects from inception to production whilst ensuring all objectives in regard to project scope, cost, quality, deadlines, risk management, communications, human resource management, operational readiness, community engagement and integration are met
- You'll lead and manage all project stakeholders and develop effective relationships through project activity and Board interaction.
What you'll need to succeed
- A strong technical background in engineering, consulting or operations with extensive experience in the delivery of mineral processing studies and mine development project execution. A Degree in civil/mining or metallurgical engineering
- Experience in the Mining industry delivering surface and underground projects. Technically you will have a strong background in study management and project delivery. This will ideally be gained in mine development in South East Asia
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills. Interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative team focus
- Sound commercial acumen with experience in contract management.
The project is situated in South East Asia and the role will require extensive site time with approximately a 50/50 split between site and corporate office. You will have support from an experienced corporate office based in Perth Western Australia. However, the ability to work remotely is essential.
