About the role
We are looking for a Supervisor Drilling to provide leadership to the Drilling Crew as part of the Drill and Blast team and to actively promote safety awareness and safe work practices with the aim of driving consistent performance and innovation in relation to safety, cost and production.
This role is a great opportunity to bring your knowledge and expertise to a dynamic site and further your career aspirations. Working an 8 days on, 6 off, 7 nights on, 7 off roster and reporting to the Superintendent Drill and Blast, you will be:
- Ensure all mining activities undertaken are in compliance with all relevant statutory regulations and RTIO standards and policies
- Contribute to the HSE system and increase awareness to enable an injury free and environmentally responsible workplace
- Performance management of the team including training, career development and discipline
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement projects which including cost saving and production efficiency projects
- Daily inspections of all work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to develop a safe and efficient work culture
- Using the fortnightly mine plans to supervise and coordinate drill activities on site
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Current Supervisory experience with surface Drill operations
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple work targets
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the suite of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering
- Certificate IV trainer/assessor and exposure to training of others
- WA Restricted Quarry Manager's ticket
