About the Role:
WorkPac are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Planner- Marine for an immediate start at our clients Ell/ Cape Lambert Operations. This position will be for 6 months in duration, Local Preferred however FIFO on a 5:4 roster available for the right applicant.
Within this position you will identify, plan and facilitate marine maintenance activities while taking into account safety, production and cost.
The clients port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
What the role entails
This role is a great opportunity for a self-driven individual who is able to set up priorities and goals as well as engage with a wide range of operations and maintenance stakeholders across a variety of work locations for our marine assets. The successful candidate will be approachable and a team player with the ability to work autonomously. Working a 5 days on, 2 off roster, you will be:
- Prioritising and developing work scopes with Supervisors and Superintendents while ensuring safety needs are given top priority in work planning
- Delivering work plans that enable work to be executed safely and in the most efficient manner
- Maintaining jobs in SAP, capturing improvement changes, developing estimations of resource requirements
- Ensuring conformance with the Rio Tinto work management obligations
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement which will improve maintenance efficiency, safety, reduce costs and increase reliability
- Providing contractor management support during the project handover process and on-going monitoring of maintenance work
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous planning experience in a marine environment or similar
- Extensive experience utilising SAP
- The ability to work autonomously
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills MSIC Card
It will also be very beneficial if you have:
- A relevant trade background such as electrical, boilermaker or mechanical
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within a marine environment
