Pilbara Minerals is an emerging strategic metals producer developing the 100% owned Pilgangoora - Lithium Project 120 Km south of Port Hedland in WA's Pilbara. We are currently executing Stage 1 (2Mtpa) of the project and on track for first production in Q2 2018. In addition, we are progressing the Feasibility Studies for the Stage 2 (5Mtpa) Pilgangoora Expansion Project.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the OHS Superintendent, the Training Co-ordinator is responsible for providing training delivery and coordinator to ensure staff have the necessary skills to deliver maximum performance. You will play a key role in developing training material, processes and systems to support the the Maintenance and Processing departments. You will have a “hands on” approach to training and be able to deliver “fit for purpose” training processes and procedures to meet the business needs.
This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 9/5 roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with metallurgy, operations and maintenance day to day to deliver targeted training plans to respond to business requirements
- Engage with RTO to support site training requirements
- Recommendation training programs to enhance production efficiency
- Limit process interruptions, formulate action plans to deal with current and potential emerging issues
- Developing Training Calendar and Training Needs Analysis for maintenance and processing staff
- Develop a Training Plan for maintenance and processing that delivers compliance with HSE polices, standards and procedures and supports development of team members
ABOUT YOU:
- Comprehensive working knowledge of mineral processing with Lithium experience advantageous
- Previous machine and processing training experience essential
- Cert IV in Training & Assessing or Diploma in Vocational Education and Training as a minimum
- Experience in developing systems and processes and working instructions highly advantageous
- Current WA Driver’s licence
- Willingness to undertake a full site medical and provide a current National Police Clearance
