The Opportunity – Surface Reliability Engineer
Based on site, the purpose of this role is to contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of maintenance work management strategies for operation plant, production and equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring the statutory compliance of relevant equipment to standards that are recorded by Engineering.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Build and develop equipment maintenance strategies for all equipment within the operational area of responsibility
- Identify all equipment requiring inspections and repairs based on legislative and statutory requirements and create master data in 1SAP
- Develop a maintenance budget based on the preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies in 1SAP
- Perform equipment strategy reviews and failure analysis to ensure that all task lists and work instructions remain accurate and relevant
- Ensure that all modifications to physical assets are initiated using engineering requests and are carried out by the engineering function
- Assist in the design, planning, estimation, installation and commissioning of new or recommended plant changes to improve reliability
- Liaise with planners for system generated work orders that are not to be executed, and when relevant, ensure that mitigating actions are in place to minimise operational risk of this cancellation.

- Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant Engineering field
- Ability to influence and communicate to various stakeholders across all levels of the business
- Experience or knowledge of SAP
- Minimum 1-year experience working in an underground coal mine/ CHPP with involvement in installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations
