The Opportunity – Undermanager Appin
Based on site, the Undermanager monitors statutory compliance with current mining legislation and the site Safety Management System. This includes supervising the mining operations at the mine.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Demonstrate personal compliance to all elements of the Mine Operating System (MOS) including disciplined planning, delivery, accountability and urgency
- Ensure that oncoming Undermanager is fully briefed prior to commencement
- Provide clear direction to cease operations or associated work when standards are not met
- Ensure production teams operate production processes and equipment safely
- Coach and mentor Deputies
- Provide feedback to Production Superintendents and Supervisors to ensure material risk controls are being correctly and uniformly applied and used by all teams
About You

- Minimum 3 years working in a mine
- Minimum 2 years working in or around an underground coal mine
- Certificate of Competence to be an Undermanager at an underground mine
