The Opportunity – Senior Mine Planning Engineer - Dendrobium
Based at our Dendrobium mine, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer, reporting to the Technical Services Manager, to lead the development of and communicate the integrated plans and schedules for production and maintenance activities to enable safe, well planned and coordinated work.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Lead and direct a team of Mine Planning Engineers
- Be responsible for the development of mine schedules that enable a mine to acheive its production targets
- Build and communicate accurate work plans and schedules from one week to two years to enable efficient execution by Production teams
- Work with Production teams to gather planning inputs and constraints and to gain endorsement of plans and schedules to be used for execution
- Provide guidance on critical path tasks to be delivered;
- Planning tasks to support development of weekly, monthly and annual plans
- Identification of risks and opportunities in the production areas
About You

- A Bachelor or Engineering is required for this role.
- 5 years experience in a similar role in the Underground Coal Industry
- Project Management expertise would also be beneficial.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence across all levels of the business.
- Experience in software planning tools ( Xpac, Deswick, Vulcan)
