As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for a assisting and managing all mechanical engineering requirements to ensure that successful construction and project outcomes meet statutory requirements.
The role will provide guidance to project teams in the resolution of engineering issues, undertaking fabrication quality inspections and providing engineering support to deliver major components. You will be based in Perth but will be required to monitor onsite construction, installation and commissioning activities.
Key Criteria
- Bachelor Degree Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on mid to large mining construction projects.
- Successful record overseeing all phases of construction projects including engineering, project management, site supervision and reporting
- Commercial awareness and ability to work to budget and tight deadlines.
- Experience developing contract documentation including scopes of work, scopes of services, technical specifications and execution plans
- Background assisting in managing site contractors in the execution phase of the project
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Confident in building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Current Western Australian “C” class drivers licence, or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen.
- Applicants must reside in Australia and have current Australian work rights. Due to this role requiring local experience visa sponsorship is not available.
