Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. With a solid network of branches nationally, we service a multitude of customers, including mining, construction, quarry and forestry with quality equipment and after sales support.

HCA has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Brisbane team as an Area Supervisor for Newcrest Lihir Gold in Papua New Guinea.

This position will be based on a fortnightly roster (2 on 2 off) with travel to and from site via Brisbane Airport.

The main focus for this role will be to support and drive quality service delivery to a major mining customer by ensuring that site equipment reliability and operational KPI's are efficiently managed. Hands on training and diagnostic duties will be required.

Reporting to the Mining Customer Support and Project Manager, your main responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a strong link between the customer and the company to ensure a high level of support and equipment reliability is always delivered
• Assist site with all maintenance planning and repair strategies to maintain and where possible, exceed KPI's
• Manage equipment and warranty planning to comply with customer and company requirements.
• Compile regular customer activity reports and forecast upcoming opportunities and/or issues

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Relevant trade qualifications along with sound knowledge of Hitachi Dash 6 Mining Excavators
• Previous project and customer relationship management experience
• The ability to drive quality service delivery for a High level Mining Customer
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to foster and maintain positive customer relations
