About The Role

This role will require reporting to the NDT Supervisor, has ownership of servicing clients' needs relative to NDT techniques, including Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic and Penetrant Testing, that is in line with WEL Industries policies and procedures and Client quality standards. With great emphasis placed on accurate, and error free reporting, this role would ideally suit a cooperative team player, with a great business culture, independent, motivated, self-managed technician, who prides themselves in their high attention to detail and professional presentation.

 

Key Areas of Responsibilities

·         Cooperating and engaging in great WEL Industries business culture

·            Performing professionalism and pride when representing WEL Industries in all company representative matters including Clients, public, stakeholders.

·         Performing NDT with accuracy, professional and positive manner to meet within company, client, and regulatory standards as well internal audit requirements.

·           Ensuring that reports are completed with prompt turnaround times

·         Ensuring that all work undertaken is carried out in a timely and proactive manner

·          Ensuring that all work activities meet relevant legislative requirements

·         Ensuring Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards are maintained, and that all work areas are free from risk to persons, equipment, and the natural environment by identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazards

·         Assisting WEL Industries in developing and improving Environmental policies and procedures that lead to improvement in Environmental performance

 

Skills and experience

The essential requirements of this role include:

·         A minimum of 2 years' experience in NDT

·         Mining Industry Experience

·         Level II Certifications in Ultrasonic Welds (AINDT or similar)

·         Level II Certifications in Magnetic Particle

·         Level II Certifications in Dye Penetrant (AINDT or similar)

·         Level II Certifications in Radiographic Testing

·         Radiation License

·         AICIP or Air Tank Certification is highly advantageous

·         Demonstrated written and oral skill

·         Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage own workloads

·         Continuous improvement mind-set and a strong customer focus

 

Desirable skills and experience include:

·         Level II Certifications in Ultrasonic Testing

·         Experience in working with ISO Quality Systems

·         Proven performance in team situations

·         Ability to read technical drawings
