Boral Quarries is looking for a dedicated and experienced Quarry Manager to lead safety and drive high performance at our quarries in COSGROVE & KATUNGA. Reporting to the Country Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership for a committed team of supervisors, operators and contractors, whilst ensuring a quality product is delivered to Boral’s customers.
We are looking for a certain individual who is passionate about ensuring a zero harm workplace and committed to driving continuous improvement to maximise efficiencies and contribute to cost reduction activities. Your drive in implementing strategies to achieve financial, production and HSE targets are also key to success in the role, as well as completing sound Quarry Development, Production and Capital Expenditure plans.
Your role will also encompass the following responsibilities, including:
- Developing effective working relationships with all people and to lead and influence others
- You are extremely customer focused, have excellent planning and organisational skills and can easily work collaboratively with various types of stakeholders
- Ability to build strong, cohesive teams where communication is one of your strengths
To be successful in the role you will possess:
- Experience as a leader from within the quarrying/mining industry with evidence of strong project management skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Diploma in Surface Extractions will be highly regarded (otherwise you must be willing to complete this qualification)
- Demonstrated time management skills are second to none and you are dedicated to the development of the quarry operators and supervisors at the Cosgrove and Katunga quarries.
