The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the Maintenance Team at our DeGrussa Copper-Gold Mine. This role is responsible for the mine-site fixed plant maintenance and repairs, including maintaining, servicing and repairing equipment such as conveyors, screens and crushing plant equipment, ball and sag mills, filters and pumps.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing repairs and maintenance to the fixed plant and site infrastructure;
• Providing high level diagnostics and fault finding on fixed plant and infrastructure equipment;
• Striping and rebuilding cone and jaw crushers
• Maintaining submersible, centrifugal, sump and slurry pumps
• Attending to and diagnostics of breakdowns
• Scheduled maintenance, installations and updates
• Fault finding and repairing diverse pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping, workspace organisation and waste minimisation
• Supervision of other tradespersons as required
• Some night shift will be required in accordance with site roster arrangements

Key requirements for this role include:

• Mechanical trade qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on relevant fixed plant maintenance – crushers, mills, conveyors, flotation and filtration systems, pumps, agitators and reduction boxes, guard rails.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Previous supervisory experience desirable
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Excellent attitude and commitment to safety.
• Computer literate.
• Current WA Driver’s License

This role is offered with family friendly 8:6, FIFO roster from Perth.
