About the role
We are looking for a Superintendent Shutdown – Asset Management to provide leadership and direction for the fixed plant shutdown team and infrastructure at Gove Operations.
This role is a great opportunity for a leader who is passionate about development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Reporting to the Manager – Asset Management, you will be:
- Leading and continually improving a behaviour based safety culture in the shutdown team.
- Coordinating a combined team of employees and contractors to safely execute the shut activities within the quality, cost and schedule parameters.
- Responsible for ensuring that shutdown maintenance work completed is safe, effective and economical.
- Leading a diverse team including supervision of Conveyor Belt, Scaffolding and Crane teams.
- Working closely with the operational teams to optimise plant EU and deliver a world class asset management service.
- Driving the ongoing transformation journey to be a world class operation.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in behaviour based safety systems, safety leadership and delivering sustainable business improvement projects.
- Solid background in shutdown management and fixed plant maintenance within mining or heavy industry environment.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Asset Management System experience including SAP.
- Engineering or Technical tertiary qualification and / or trade qualification.
