About the Role:

We are offering a number of exciting opportunities for Youth Operator Traineeships in the Production team at Blackwater Mine Site. Traineeships will vary in length.

This is an outstanding opportunity for candidates to develop a dynamic and fulfilling career within the mining industry and on successful completion you will obtain Certificate II in Surface Extraction Operations. The program is designed to develop cultured, engaged, highly skilled and work ready trainees. You will be provided with industry-leading training including mentoring by some of BHP's talented workforce, providing the best opportunity to achieve the top of your chosen vocation.

About You:

• Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
• Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal
• Proven attendance record (either school or recent employment)
• An eagerness to learn and develop new skills
• Basic computer literacy
• The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group
