• Exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanic/fitter in a diverse role • Be a part of a small proactive team with a positive ‘can do’ culture • Fantastic residential lifestyle (6 days on, 6 days off roster) - Tom Price About the Role We are looking for a Dewatering Maintainer to carry out scheduled mechanical maintenance to the dewatering infrastructure, specifically small diesel engines for pumping and power generation. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Working a 6 days on, 6 off roster and reporting to the Dewatering Supervisor, you will be: • Carrying out scheduled maintenance and servicing activities and providing effective breakdown maintenance to the dewatering infrastructure • Responsible for identifying critical infrastructure spares and maintaining accurate inventory • Providing operational feedback to supervisors and being responsible for following Rio Tinto Iron Ore safe work practices About you To succeed in this role, you will have: • A manual "C" class driver's licence • Mechanical aptitude / fault finding ability • Familiar with small bore engines, pumps and gearboxes • Strong desire to be part of a proactive team • Willingness to learn new concepts and execute in a safe manner • Willingness to support and work in other areas of expertise when required • Desire to deliver work to a high standard It will also be beneficial if you have: • Dogging and Vehicle Loading Crane High Risk Work Licence • Mining or heavy industry experience • Experience working on dewatering infrastructure Where you will be working In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, Rio Tinto operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets with industry-leading margins.
