DRILL & BLAST ENGINEER

Reporting to the Operations Planning Superintendent you will be responsible for drill and blast design and management to optimise our drill and blasting practices.

You will ensure drill and blast designs and plans allow for maximum recovery of coal with minimum dilution. As a team player, you will work closely with your stakeholders to develop and implement drill and blast designs, schedules and forecasts to ensure compliance with the safety and health management system and optimise operational efficiency.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to communicate these plans to the team. As a Drill and Blast Engineer you have the opportunity to secure a challenging technical role supporting the safe and efficient drill and blast activities across the Collinsville Coal operation.

You will be tertiary qualified in Mining Engineering and your work achievements will demonstrate your passion for drill and blast design. Competency with Vulcan and DATABLASTING planning and scheduling software is essential.

This is a residential role, working Monday to Friday. As a small community and safe family environment, with direct access to Bowen, Mackay and the Whitsundays, Collinsville Coal has something for you.
