Pilbara Minerals is an emerging strategic metals producer developing the 100% owned Pilgangoora - Lithium Project 120 Km south of Port Hedland in WA's Pilbara. We are currently executing Stage 1 (2Mtpa) of the project and on track for first production in Q2 2018. In addition, we are progressing the Feasibility Studies for the Stage 2 (5Mtpa) Pilgangoora Expansion Project.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the Production Coordinator is responsible operational coordination and planning promoting the company values and a safe team environment where maximum fixed plant infrastructure performance results can be achieved.
To be effective in this role you will have solid computer skills and be able to work closely with stakeholders such as Shift Supervisors and Maintenance Planning to achieve production requirements. This is as technical role and whilst it does not have any direct reports you will still need to be able to influence and manage multiple stakeholders.
This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 9/5 roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to development of 3-month level time horizon detailed operational plans that support the processing plant annual deliverables
- Via expenditure tracking contribute to budget planning to lower costs and improve plant performance
- Work with metallurgy and geology to manage day to day blending to deliver target product specifications
- Manage consumables and equipment stores to maximise cost effectiveness
- Track plant performance in terms of budget costs and production, provide recommendations to maintain and improve performance
- Limit process interruptions, formulate action plans to deal with current and potential emerging issues
- Support maintenance activities whilst maximising operational productivity, efficiency and achieving product quality
- Support metallurgy activities whilst maximising operational productivity, efficiency and achieving product quality
- Plan process plant ramp downs and start up in co-ordinate with maintenance shutdown planning.
- Monitor plant stability and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Implement procedures that deliver compliance with site HSE polices and departmental plans.
- Provide coaching for operational staff in plant operational practices and Appropriately structured, capable operating team with the skills required to sustain the processing team
- Comprehensive working knowledge of mineral processing with Lithium experience advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership/supervisory skills
- Cert IV in Training & Assessing highly regarded
- Experience in developing systems and processes and working instructions highly advantageous
- Current WA Driver’s licence
- Willingness to undertake a full site medical and provide a current National Police Clearance
