The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance Department at Sunrise Dam Mine Site, working an 8 and 6 FIFO roster out of Perth.

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading and driving improved SAP utilisation, maintenance planning and scheduling processes to ensure a safe, reliable, efficient and effective site maintenance function is achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor SAP notifications and in consultation with Maintenance Supervisor/Superintendent delete, postpone or release, inclusive of creating corrective maintenance work orders (PM01) to address faults on released notifications
• Monitor the maintenance PM work order for emerging issues; liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor/Superintendent as to a response and assist where necessary
• Review current corrective maintenance backlog, identify whether they are still current, in consultation with the Maintenance Supervisor/Superintendent and instigate appropriate actions.
• Develop site maintenance plans and schedules for the timely and efficient execution of preventative and corrective maintenance work
• Ensure resource requirements for all planned and scheduled works are identified and in consultation with the Maintenance Supervisor/Superintendent resources levels will match the agreed scheduled works. Address any shortfalls in labour requirements with the Maintenance Supervisor/Superintendent before the schedule is published
• Upkeep of the SAP Plant Maintenance system by ensuring that all equipment/plant items are kept up to date with respect to the SAP PM work orders, all work orders are raised correctly, finished work orders are closed correctly and any missed tasks are rescheduled according to priorities.
• Effectively manage the warranty claims and receipts ensuring that the company receives its due entitlements in accordance with agreed warranty conditions
• Maintain accurate and up to date site equipment files
• Create records of maintenance activity in accordance with Company procedures by ensuring that statutory requirements are maintained and documented correctly.
• Schedule and record Statutory Inspections as per Barminco's procedures
• Liaise with the central maintenance team to address any SAP or maintenance strategy gaps to ensure the system is up to date and strategies reflect the asset requirements
• Active involvement in safety initiatives including participation in maintenance related incident and accident investigations, risk assessments and JSA use as required

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

• Highly experienced in all areas Maintenance planning and strategy techniques
• Detailed experience and working knowledge of SAP (or similar system) plant maintenance planning and costing system
• Previous experience working autonomously or with limited supervision in mobile plant Maintenance Planning function
• Good working familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook etc
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with excellent Customer Focus
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
• A Front-Line Management qualification, Maintenance management qualification or Engineering qualification would be highly regarded
