Overview
A career accelerating opportunity exists to join our Supply, Marketing and Logistics team in Melbourne in a full time casual capacity. Reporting to SML’s Performance Office Lead, you will support the delivery of reports and presentation packs for the Performance Office as well as for SML.
You’ll help us “keep the discipline” by being action orientated, keep things running on time and making sure the Performance Office holds itself accountable. This is a development focused role for high performing early stage career professionals seeking to fast track their career with a broader understanding of our business.
This is a casual full-time opportunity on an on-going basis.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide concise high-quality reporting and analysis to allow the cadence of PO meetings to be effectively and efficiently managed.
- Provide Business Analysis Support to SML with the view to develop skills in out to market processes and contract management planning, as well as vendor spend analysis
- Scheduling accountabilities including preparation of action plans Develop repeatable reports to identify any bottlenecks or areas requiring management focus
- Distribute reports to management team, as well as following up with team members to drive action from the reports
- Assist in taking minutes, keep meetings running on time and assigning tasks as appropriate
- Ensure that information is presented clearly and accurately to facilitate sound decision making.
- Driving a strong continuous improvement focus.
- Ensure that the objectives, expectations and timeframes are clear for any actions set and communicate regularly to ensure that commitments are met
- Acting as the company champion promoting the use of Wave (Project Management tool)
About You
You will be a proven performer with valuable business analysis skills in your current area of the business. This may be in a technical role (e.g. IT), or a commercial or support function with some experience in the mining or resources sector.
With discipline being your middle name, you’ll also meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in IT or Commerce (desirable);
- Experience with Project and/or Performance Management tracking systems (e.g. PowerBI or McKinsey’s Wave application);
- Strong computer skills particularly advanced MS excel;
- Strong time management skills;
- Strong communication and time manager skills;
- Ability to manage a diverse range of stakeholders;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Advanced organisation skills and demonstrated project management experience;
- A sense of fun.
