We are currently recruiting for a Fixed Plant Electrician to be based at our Riverton Limestone Plant located near Tenterfield, New South Wales.

The role has responsibility for all electrical wiring, repairs, alterations, installations, testing and commissioning and maintenance of electrical services to maximize the reliability and availability of the fixed plant that processes limestone products. In consultation with site management and internal and external contractors and consultants, the electrician supervises all electrical activities of the processing operations, to ensure product is produced safely, at minimum cost and with the required quality.     

The successful applicant would be accountable for;

• compliance with Environment, Health & Safety and Quality policies
• procedures and initiatives
• promote and maintain positive relationships with production, maintenance and electrical employees and liaise with the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is safe and efficient to operate
• co-ordination and implementation of data reporting for metrics as directed
• oversee electrical shutdowns, breakdowns and repairs and restarts of critical equipment, including fault-finding, root cause analysis and general electrical problem solving across site
• A key accountability is to ensure adequate coverage of electrical expertise outside normal business hours

To be successful in this role, the applicant would ideally have certifications for CPR, driver's licence and LV rescue as well as having completed an Electrical Trades apprenticeship & hold a Queensland Electrical Work Licence, Electrical Mechanic & Electrical Fitter. In addition, they would hold recognition as "A Person to Control Electrical Work" at the site as per Queensland's Mining and Quarrying Safety Health Act 1999 and Mining and Quarrying Safety Health Regulation 2001. The successful candidate will ideally have 5 plus years' electrical trades experience in a heavy industrial and/or commercial setting, a high level of ability to program, modify and fault-find on various electrical equipment and PLC control systems and significant post trade experience in heavy industrial plant electrical fitting, cable installation and electrical maintenance
