Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, Operating on an 8/6 -7/7 12 hour, rotational roster with residential or FIFO options available.

About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Development (NMA) this position is responsible for Coordinating through the use of process control systems, the operation of the production plant, equipment and infrastructure, overseeing compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes, to achieve optimal production outcomes for Development.

• Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team
• Resource allocation in line with mine priorities
• Daily production planning in line with weekly targets and schedules
• Realigning daily and weekly schedules to accommodate interactions
• Interdepartmental equipment and employee allocation to achieve mine priorities
• Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve service standards, productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.

About you:

• Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’
• Previous supervisory experience or equivalent within Underground mining work environment
• Strong problem solving and planning and scheduling skills.
• Previous exposure to systems including but not limited to SAP, Deswik, MineCAD, Fewzion or similar mine planning tools is desirable.
• Tertiary/Technical qualifications in relevant field are desirable.
