We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to be based at our Bentonite mine located in Miles, Queensland. The focus of this role is to undertake all electrical wiring, repairs, alteration, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical services and equipment in accordance with company safety, quality and environmental systems and procedures.
The incumbent will proactively carry out cabling installations, minor motor repairs, preventative and statutory maintenance on low voltage distributing and control systems including fault finding and repairs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Program and modification to PLC and PC control systems
- Compile and maintain full schematics of the distribution and control systems
- Test and tag all portable electrical equipment and conduct annual electrical installation testing
- Maintain data in the Pronto Maintenance system for all electrical equipment and provide written reports as required
- Assist with housekeeping duties
- Assist with other non-electrical maintenance tasks
The successful candidate will be a trade-qualified Electrical Fitter/Mechanic holding a Queensland Electrical license and will ideally have demonstrated experience in a relevant industry either in mining or manufacturing, possess Working Safely at Heights, Enter and Work in a Confined Space, Cabling License and a current Open Drivers license. You will have the ability to conduct fault finding of complex control circuits as well as analyzing root cause analysis and general problem solving.
