Outbye Maintenance Coordinator: Electrical – Capcoal Underground Operations

Reporting to the Outbye Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the electrical maintenance activities within Outbye Operations to ensure a safe and productive mining environment is maintained. You will be accountable for establishing Outbye maintenance practices to support the operation, from which you will create and implement rolling monthly plans in order to optimise the electrical maintenance performance to support the mine. Working alongside the Mechanical and Operations Coordinators, you will develop monthly work and resource targets and continually review and adjust the pathways to deliver operational excellence in line with legislative requirements and the annual Mine Operational Plan.

As the Maintenance Coordinator: Electrical your responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Coordinator to ensure effective supervision of the maintenance crew, assist with planning of maintenance tasks and the management of the work order and planning process;
• Ensuring safety, quality and environmental management plans are implemented, maintained and progressively improved;
• Managing all maintenance jobs safely and with expediency; and
• Ensuring weekly scheduled compliance targets are met.

As the leader of the Outbye Electrical Team, you will build and develop your team to ensure optimal performance and high output is achieved. In addition, you will provide an on-shift focal point for the implementation of continuous improvement and ensure compliance with safety systems, practices and behaviours.

To be successful in the role, you will hold an Electrical Trade Qualification (minimum) with Maintenance Management or CMMS experience, and have five to ten years' experience working in underground coal mining. Experience within Outbye will be highly regarded, as will experience in a similar role and Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3 and G2). You will be driven by equipment availability and the ability to focus on maintenance costs, workplace efficiency and your proactive approach, demonstrated leadership ability and commitment to Zero Harm will be the key to your success in the role.
