Welder/Trade Technician
 
Currently Australia’s Oil and Gas industry is in an exciting growth phase with 2018 set to be an excellent time for skilled workers to rejoin the sector  As such we are now seeking an experienced Welder/Trade Assistant to fulfill a long-term contract commencing immediately.

Our client is recognized internationally as technical specialists within Oilfield services.  As an experienced Welder/ Trade Assistant with welding experience you have the opportunity to gain experience on leading edge technology within a team recognized for superior service provision.  

The Welder/Trade Assistant will work alongside the other senior base technician on mechanical works and will be supervised by Base Manager. 
 
Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Welding of rotor paddles, therefore will need MMA stick welding experience (intermediate stick welding certification would be of advantage)
- Assist in the assembly and dispatch of Progressive Capacity Pumps (PCP’s)
- Assist in the assembly & repair of PCP driveheads, must be mechanically minded
- Basic yard work, load & unloading of trucks
- LF forklift tick required
 
This is a Monday to Friday role based in Roma with overtime may be required per operational requirements. As such the successful candidate must be located in Roma.
 
It is essential also to have full Australian work right and able to provide a clear National Police Clearance.
