Our client Glencore, is currently looking for experienced Plant Mechanics for ongoing crew work on their Hunter Valley Mine site.

The successful applicant can have the option to be permanently employed by WorkPac and will receive all leave entitlements or be employed as a casual for a higher rate of pay.

You will need to have a minimum of 2 years experience carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing of large earthmoving equipment.
It would be advantageous for candidates to have experience with hydraulic and engine diagnostic problem solving and fault finding skills.
Experience working on Caterpillar Trucks, Dozers and Graders is essential.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible and willing to share technical knowledge with the wider crew.
This is an environment where completing the job on time is critical.

You will have a strong focus on safety in the work place and you will have the following tickets or be willing to obtain them:

  • Certificate of Proficiency
  • Current Working at Heights Certificate
  • Current MDG25 Certificate
  • Dogging Ticket

You will be required to work a 4 panel 12.5 hour rotating roster, day and night shift, including weekends.

You will also be required to attend a Coal Board Medical and comply with the sites D&A policies and procedures.
