Brunel are recruiting an experienced Production Accountant to join an established oil & gas exploration and development company. The successful applicant will primarily support and provide oversight to Production Allocation, Accounting and Reporting activities.
The role will deputise for the Production Accounting and Reporting Lead with potential to succeed into that position. This position is a permanent role and is based in Sydney CBD.
Our successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Transactional accounting and reporting activities for operated and non-operated facilities. Monthly production allocations.
- Compilation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly regulatory, joint venture and supplementary (internal) production reports from the PDMS system.
- Flare and vent data and internal environmental reporting derived from the PDMS system including liaison with environmental reporting specialists.
- Corrections to Production Data, Production loss and downtime reporting from production loss accounting system.
- Documenting Production Accounting and Reporting procedures to ensure;
- Production accounting and reporting is performed consistently and in a timely manner.
- Production data and allocation is verified and maintained through quality systems
- Updating daily and monthly capacity and forecast information.
- Interface with Production Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Reservoir Management, Finance and other functions to ensure information content.
To be successful for this position will need to have:
- A tertiary qualification, preferably in a science or engineering field.
- Skills / Technical competencies
- Comprehensive understanding of hydrocarbon allocation systems.
- As the P2 products are SQL server based, knowledge of database structures
- Have the ability to understand coded environments would be an advantage_ as would experience in report design and graphical data representation tools.
- MS product knowledge at a skilled level.
