About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Sales Manager - Metal (NSW/VIC/TAS), the Technical Sales and Service Representative (TSSR) is responsible for sales and technical service to all mining customers within their allocated sales region. In addition they will use their technical knowledge and industry expertise to grow new business activity and clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing product recommendations for specific ground conditions;
- Undertaking product pricing for customers;
- Managing existing DSI Underground customer accounts and liaising with client technical staff to maintain effective relationships;
- Assisting in the development of new products through application information and customer / market feedback;
- Actively promoting and managing product trials with customers;
- Providing effective feedback on market opportunities, and developing and maintaining a call plan to non DSI Underground trading customers;
- Conducting underground Pull Testing and product audits; and
- Monitoring competition activities in the region and taking appropriate action/s.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in underground mining;
- Ability to understand technical concepts and converse with mine geotechnics;
- Ability to engage, build and maintain customer relationships;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs;
- Ability to work independently and problem solve technical problems;
- Excellent time management and communication skills; and
- Willingness and flexibility to undertake regular domestic travel in your allocated sales region.
