The Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join the supply team at our DeGrussa Copper-Gold mine. This position is responsible for procuring and expediting parts, equipment and services for the DeGrussa mine site.  You will be working closely with the onsite maintenance team and other stakeholders to ensure that goods are onsite to enable performance of regular maintenance and other site based activities.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Undertaking purchasing of materials, equipment, goods and services utilising the company ERP system whilst complying with all Supply/Commercial procedures.
• Identifying various supply options and negotiating with suppliers to reduce costs or add value.
• Expediting to ensure that goods are delivered on time and to specification.
• Undertaking the registration and prequalification of new Suppliers.
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships and communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Regular cost savings reporting

Key requirements for this role include:

• Significant purchasing experience within the resources industry
• Demonstrable experience of 5+ years in a purchasing role, ideally within the mining sector.
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably PRONTO.
• Attention to detail and the willingness to raise and resolve issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication
• A strong regard for ethics.
• A current "C" Class driver's License
• Strong safety culture (includes good housekeeping).

This role is offered with family friendly 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth.

DeGrussa has a modern camp complete with gym, indoor cricket, multisport court, golf simulator and music room and offers high quality ensuite accommodation. Airstrip is located within walking distance of the village.
