We are currently calling for expressions of interest from experienced Site Managers, to provide strategic direction and principal leadership for all activities associated with the successful ramp-up and sustainable operation of an exciting project in the Goldfields region.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will work collaboratively towards the successful delivery of each phase of the project, whilst delivering high quality solutions and results for our client on an ongoing basis. Also, an appreciation for the challenges of quickly changing conditions and your capacity to adapt in real time, provide the backdrop of enthusiasm and action you will bring to the role.
A demonstrated ability to create an empowered high performing team culture will ensure targeted project outcomes are met in a timely manner, within budget and operating effectively and proficiently within a Zero Harm environment.
This is a fly-in-fly-out position from Perth, on an 8 & 6 roster.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Demonstrate commitment to our goal of Zero Harm to personnel;
- Maintaining and developing an effective working relationship with the client, suppliers and other key stakeholders;
- Lead by example through delegation and open communication of key business drivers, whilst ensuring ongoing development of your direct reports;
- Monitoring and assessing SHEQ performance of all employees;
- Ensuring identified risks are assessed, controlled and reported;
- Ensuring the business unit is achieving production/operational plans and KPI’s;
- Providing effective leadership to operational and maintenance crews by developing short term work and resource plans (people & equipment) and targets consistent with agreed KPI’s;
- Facilitate and participate in all site critical communications including meetings, reports and client requests.
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Qualification in an appropriate discipline or equivalent formal studies in management;
- Demonstrated senior operational management experience within the mining logistics industry, both surface and underground;
- Previous exposure to bulk haulage and civil works;
- Demonstrated leadership skills, particularly in a start-up / new project environment;
- Demonstrated experience within a contracting environment;
- Ability to manage client expectations, in conjunction with our core values and strategic pillars;
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with strategic leadership skills to ensure production targets are safely achieved;
- Strong financial and commercial management skills;
- Able to act as a strong and positive example to the workforce;
- Mature and professional approach to all matters.
