Chandler Macleod are delighted to be recruiting for South32 for their refinery based in Worsley, WA for an Electrical Specialist.
The Role:
In the role of Electrical Specialist (Maintenance Analysis & Improvement) you will be reporting directly into the Superintendent Analysis & Improvement.
These roles are offered on a 12-month fixed term contract and there are in addition some permanent roles. Responsible for developing, maintaining and improving critical equipment condition, maintenance and knowledge practices. You will provide a key link between the Maintenance Improvement Function and the Execution Function.
Responsibilities include:
• Prioritisation of planned and future maintenance activities through 1SAP Work Management process
• Liaising with Improvement Engineers maintaining a detailed understanding of critical equipment shortfalls, developing solutions to eliminate root causes
• Investigation of incidents, operational and maintenance malpractice to improve process performance and work management effectiveness
• Supporting the Maintenance Execution team, developing, documenting and delivering capability for complex execution activities
• Developing systems to reduce/eliminate waste in maintenance activities and expenditure
• Developing a maintenance budget based on work strategies, preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Providing expertise to the Engineering Function including review, handover activities of new systems commissioned
In this highly visible role you will be engaging with Maintenance and Production teams to facilitate the development of maintenance work practices and minimising operational risk. In addition, you will provide organisational governance in the application of 1SAP processes and promote understanding and compliance to 1SAP principles.
About You
You will be a Technical self-reliant contributor who brings 5 - 10 years within Maintenance Analysis and Improvement in Refinery/Heavy Industry. You will have a sound knowledge of procedures and concepts in maintenance and associated strategy.
Experience in High Voltage/Protection Systems would be highly welcomed together with Calciner exposure. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator who can collaborate with internal stakeholders on a management level and bring a high proficiency in written and oral English.
A relevant post-secondary certificate, ideally Electrical would be favourable
