The Opportunity – Planner

Based at the Innovation Campus, The Planner will focus on the short term (based at site) working with project engineers, our contract partners and mine planning to assist in keeping track of progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control of project scope and deliverables including change control management
• Oversee Project and Contractor’s development, monitoring and control of the project schedule
• Analyse the project’s schedule and resource levels to identify potential issues and advise the Project Manager on these issues to ensure that the project’s KPI’s are achieved.
• Overview scope changes, trends and change notices initiated from the project management systems and review their time and cost implications
• Establish a Basis of Schedule for key Projects
• Monitor and review the project schedule to verify the reported status and progress, as well as forecast time to complete activities associated with the project.
• Manage schedule reporting including the provision of information necessary for monthly project reporting
• Find ways to effectively recover project time, whilst at the same time ensuring that the right standards and quality are achieved.
• Keep track of any variations to the project that may affect schedule.

Location

Illawarra Coal operations are located in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
