RIGCOM Access is a height safety, rope access and technical rigging installation & services company, specialising in difficult access. The company has a growing presence in the wind energy sector and is seeking an experienced leader with the capabilities of ensuring compliance with safety requirements at maintenance worksites for key clients in the Victorian region.

We are seeking a candidate to fill this permanent position that has the the following skills:

• Observing multiple work teams in a high risk work environment to ensure compliance with relevant safety requirements;
• Experience or qualifications as a safety inspector, capable of implementing safety programs, conducting audits, enacting WHS management plans and implementing corrective actions;
• Complete inspections and certification of works for wind turbine tower maintenance projects, including corrosion control and treatment, access system maintenance and safety system certification;
• Experience in overseeing blade repair for wind turbine blades;
• Experience in applying leading edge blade tape for preventative maintenance on wind turbine blades.

You will be a highly-motivated self starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, with a core focus on the customer, delivering excellent service and response times.

You will also be able to demonstrate your skills in planning, use of technology and creative problem solving. The person must have an eye for detail, a focus on quality results and be a proactive team player that enjoys a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications as a Level 3 IRATA rope access technician with experience working on wind turbines, working safely at height qualification as well as manufacturer accreditations for blade repair are considered essential. Additional experience or trade qualifications in fibreglass/composite repair, carpentry, metal fabrication or other related disciplines will also be highly regarded. Formal qualifications in safety or engineering degree will also assist your application.

Although primarily located in regional Victoria, opportunities for interstate project work will also be available in the future.
