ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Site Manager this role will be responsible in assisting the management team in organising labour and resources to perform required works in an efficient and safe manner. This role will be based from our Newcastle office and working at Eraring Power Station, and the ideal candidate will have experience in Power Plants, Petrochemical and Chemical Plants with Valve maintenance and refurbishment knowledge.
DUTIES
- Coordinate site employees to effectively achieve job timeframes required.
- Provide technical advice to employees and clients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage rosters of employees to ensure effective coverage for current workload.
- Ensure that the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, utilised and maintained by all personnel under their control.
- Conduct pre-start meetings/toolbox meetings/inductions/record discussion topics and issues raised and follow up
- Ensure all OHS standard are being upheld across the site.
- Assisting with design plans, design checks and inspections when necessary, equipment schedules and drawings.
- Provide technical advice to employees and other team members in an accurate and timely manner.
- Any site paperwork as required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential;
- Appropriate trade and post trade qualifications.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the management and supervision of staff.
- Exposure to Worksafe and AS/NZS4801 safety standards
- Able to communicate with staff at all levels.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Desirable;
- SAP computer skills.
- Excel computer skills
- Front Line Management training
