Ventilation Officer – Moranbah North Mine - 2017 Mine of the Year
An opportunity exists for a qualified Ventilation Offer to join our operation. With your diverse capability in communicating with a range of stakeholders, you will provide strategic advice on short to medium term mine development in order to optimise the value of the mine in terms of ventilation.
You will assist with the management, planning, implementation and monitoring of the underground mine ventilation and gas drainage systems to ensure effectiveness against legislation and site requirements. You will be able to display a high level of strategic thinking, planning and problem solving skills which will be instrumental in your success in this role. The successful applicant will have a strong background in ensuring hazard identification and risk assessment principles are firmly applied, coupled with the compliance of all ventilation matters relating to legislation and the site safety management system.
Requirement of the role is a formal qualification as a Ventilation Officer in Queensland. You will also have demonstrated experience in an underground coal mining operation as well as specialist knowledge in ventilation. Your ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, with continuous improvement mindset, as well as your ability to influence and build relationships throughout the site will be key to your success in the role.
