The Company
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. With a solid network of branches nationally, we service a multitude of customers, including mining, construction, quarry and forestry with quality equipment and after sales support.
The Role
With strong growth in the business region, we have an exciting opportunity for 2 newly appointed Site Support and Field Service Fitters to join our team based out in Boddington.
This role would be scheduled as 8 days on / 6 days off, drive in - drive out roster working both day and night shifts.
The key responsibility for this role is to provide quality customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of equipment. Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the HCA Safety Culture is prioritised and embraced in every situation
- Performing quality service and maintenance on various plant and product lines
- Attending site to undertake fault finding and diagnostic work to assist with onsite breakdowns
- Liaising with technical support staff and onboarding a truly collaborative team culture to ensure timely customer service is delivered.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant Diesel or Plant Mechanic trade qualifications
- HR Driver's License and High Risk Licenses as a fitter - EWP - WAH - Dogging & Rigging
- Demonstrated experience and solid understanding of mining equipment maintenance
- Previous technical exposure to Hitachi mining equipment would be highly advantageous
- Dedicated to quality customer service delivery and work output
- Personable and professional with a drive to build positive long term relationships
- Understand the importance of Workplace Health & Safety and be proactive in reducing hazards
