About The Role

• Developing condition monitoring maintenance strategies & Equipment Life cycle cost models for Site Infrastructure Equipment to ensure compliance with Statutory requirements & Regulation
• Identifying through Value Driver Trees or similar tools continuous improvement projects and playing an active role in resolving equipment and plant problems
• Monitoring costs and developing a maintenance budget based on preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies
• Compiling and monitoring maintenance metrics reports, group level documents and fixed plant reliability standard requirement
• Ensuring maintenance strategies for Site Infrastructure equipment are developed and implemented in accordance with statutory requirements and regulations
• Monitoring the compliance to the maintenance strategies developed and implemented for Site Infrastructure equipment
• Identifying all equipment requiring inspections and repairs based on legislative and statutory requirements and creating Safety Critical Equipment master data in 1SAP
• Performing equipment strategy reviews and failure analysis to ensure that all task lists and work instructions remain accurate and relevant.
• Liaise with Engineering, maintenance supervisors, contractors & workgroups throughout Operational Project work process
• Ensure all engineering projects comply with statutory and BHPIO safety standards and suitable operational maintenance plans / strategies are inacted upon completion
• Building cross-functional relationships with other Analysis & Improvement sub-functions, Maintenance and Production teams

Location

With this position you have the opportunity to choose between a Residential or a FIFO arrangement. As a residential option you will be joining a 15,000-strong population which enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities. The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife.  Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. You will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies. Company housing and a relocation package will be provided.

Should you wish to choose our FIFO option you will be based at Port Hedland on a fly-in fly-out 5/2 4/3 roster.  Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.   The outstanding facilities at the FIFO villages include; a fully equipped gym, TV lounge and games rooms. Additionally you will have access to the state of the art aquatic and sporting facilities in the town of Port Hedland. All rooms at the villages have their own en-suite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.

About You

• Engineering qualification preferred. Trade qualifications / Asset Management / A&I experience with substantial reliability engineering background considered - Civil / Mechanical /Hydraulic/ Mobile Plant /Electrical
• Good analytical skills for a high level of problem solving and sharing of solutions within the department
• A drive for proactive Continuous Improvement
• Experience in use of 1SAP for Analysis would be an advantage
• Practical experience relevant to management and/or supervision in mining or Commercial related industry is preferred
• Minimum of C class manual drivers licence
