About the Client

Our client is Australia’s largest coal miner and exporter, the world's largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market and largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines. The Role

Reporting to the Training Superintendent, the Trainer & Assessor is responsible for the facilitation of the mine's training programs and providing assistance to the Training Superintendent and Coordinators to govern the application of corporate training systems and record management.
 


You will be required to -

 

  • Coordinate, schedule and deliver annual crew training requirements.
  • Maintain & development training systems & materials including equipment training packages, instruction manuals & supporting materials.
  • Coordinate, deliver and assess competency based and other training (including site inductions) as required.
  • Coordinate and develop internal trainer assessors in both training and assessing
  • Develop training and assessment materials for on-site equipment in line with endorsed components of the coal industry training package currently the resource and infrastructure industry training package (RII).
  • Ensure ongoing development of the training function capabilities within this group.

 

The successful applicant must have: 

  • An understanding of administrative practices including the maintenance of records, managing travel, coordinating meetings and raising requisitions within the system
  • Current Trainer and Assessor Certification
  • Intermediate - Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Exposure to Ellipse / SAP would be highly regarded
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines
  • Be willing to work on a roster
  • Have a valid Standard 11
  • Current Coal Board Medical - Section 4
  • RII for Haul Trucks
