Automotive Mechanical HV (HD Fitter- Excavator and Drills)
The Heavy Duty Fitter will be required to carry out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance and repair to a range of Large Scale Mining Equipment supporting Fortescue's mining operations. The incumbent will be responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on Mining Fleet with particular focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Maintenance of large scale mining equipment
- Diagnostics & Fault Finding
- Workshop and Pit duties as required
- Reporting and timesheets
- Work in conjunction with all Mobile Maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
- Ensure FMG and Christmas Creek Mine site operations OHS&E procedures and policies are followed.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Australian recognised trade certificate as a HD Fitter
- Previous experience working in a mining or heavy industry
- Mobile Plant experience is essential
- High regard for safety
- EWP ticket essential
- LF Ticket essential
- CV Ticket essential
- Previous Sandvik, Atlas and SKS Drill experience desirable
- Previous Liebherr, Terex and Hitachi Digger experience desirable
- Heavy Rigid Drivers License (desirable)
