Gas Compliance Coordinator – Capcoal Underground Operations
Using your specialist knowledge of underground gas monitoring and management practices, you will coordinate the design, planning, installation and maintenance of total gas monitoring systems for all Grosvenor Mine operations.
You will work closely with the mine’s Appointed Ventilation Officer to establish best practice installation and maintenance procedures for all gas monitoring systems, ensuring legislative compliance with the QLD Coal Mining Safety & Health Regulations 2017.
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager (EEM) this role provides plans and technical input into the Maintenance and Engineering department to assist in driving the delivery of the mine’s performance targets and maximizing the value of the Grasstree resource.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in an underground operation, an electrical trade qualification and a track record in driving continuous improvement. You will have knowledge of Coal Mine Gas Monitoring requirements and the ability to interpret and apply legislation.
You will have the ability to provide technical and operational leadership to drive change, with a strong commitment to health, safety and environment standards.
This is a full time permanent staff role working an 8/6 roster.
