About the Role:
Working within the NSW Energy Sector, you will lead the development of a standardised approach for project delivery including templates for project scope, planning, budget, risk management, scheduling and resource management and reporting to maximise efficiencies to achieve required strategic outcomes.

 

Primary purpose of the role:

You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies, devising tools to enable your division to effectively monitor and evaluate energy projects. Your brief includes managing risk and establishing contingency management processes to enable energy projects to be delivered on time within budget.
Working with senior internal stakeholders the Senior Project Manager is responsible to monitor the over- all impact the energy division’s projects will deliver, review internal resources, identify and address issues and report on project progress and overall effectiveness and efficiencies culminating in delivering strategic outcomes.
 
 
Essential requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or project management combined with experience in a project management methodology such as PRINCE2 or similar
• Extensive experience working within a Project Management Office in a large and complex organisation such as state, federal or private sector or within a consultancy
• Demonstrated experience in project monitoring and reporting
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple project and program reporting 
• Demonstrated experience working within the Energy Sector
• Highly developed communication skills and negotiation skills
