The Consolidated Minerals Group (ConsMin) was acquired in May 2017 by Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co (TMI), a world leading manufacturer of electrolytic manganese metals, based in China.
ConsMin is recognised as one of the world’s leading manganese producers and has operating mines in Australia and Ghana. ConsMin’s Pilbara based Woodie Mine site resumed mining in October 2017 following a period of care and maintenance.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Team Lead for the Load & Haul Department at our Woodie Manganese Operations, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara.
The successful applicant will form an integral part of the Load & Haul leadership team and will be offered on-going training and development along with a competitive remuneration package, on a 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth.
Reporting to the Load & Haul Supervisor the successful applicant will be required to:
- Ensure compliance to daily plans and activities for the Load & Haul team;
- Ensure and promote safe working practises adhering to company values and procedures;
- Communicate effectively with other department personnel in order to meet production goals;
- Identify manning requirements through the labour budgeting process, participate in interviewing and selection processes to build capacity in the Load & Haul team;
- Manage the performance of direct reports through the setting of key performance indicators (KPIs), training and development opportunities, succession plans and appropriate performance management;
- Coordinate and/or operator Load & Haul fleet which consists of predominantly Cat, Hitachi and Komatsu equipment i.e. Hitachi EX 2500 & Komatsu PC 2000, PC1250 Excavators, Cat 980H, 988H, 992K & 988K Loaders, Cat 16M Graders, Cat D10t & 854K Dozers, Cat Haulmax 39000E, 777F/G & 785 C/D Dump Trucks & 777F Water Carts.
Requirements to be successful in this role are:
- Must have a positive attitude, be adaptable, team focus and the willingness to learn;
- Extensive experience as an Operator in an open pit mining environment specifically operating the above mentioned equipment;
- Supervisory experience in the mining production environment;
- Strong commitment to promoting occupational health and safety;
- High level of time management and organisational skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Competent level of computer literacy, particularly MS office suite;
- Current HR drivers licence.
