A major coal operator is currently on the market for multiple Production Supervisors.
Your new role
The purpose of this role is to supervise a production crew in the safe execution of the mine plan in accordance with operating standards, procedures and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include -
- Execute quality Field Leadership activities targeted at engaging with the workforce.
- Understanding and execution of the mine plan.
- Crew management in accordance with Charter Values and Code of Conduct.
- Lead, coach and mentor employees to deliver on plan and build a high performing team.
- Effectively communicate all pertinent information to stakeholders.
- Training and development of crew members to ensure continuity of operations.
- Reconciliation of each shift’s data and remediation if necessary.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations targeted at identifying the root cause and developing actions to limit the likelihood of a repeat event.
- Identification and communication of enabling activities to ensure continuity of operations.
- Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation.
What you'll need to succeed
- Well-developed written and verbal skills and the interpersonal skills to facilitate cooperation with production personnel.
- Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills.
- An ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a dynamic environment.
- The ability to effectively use a computer and its associated software programs (Microsoft Office suite).
- The ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Leadership / supervisory experience within the mining sector coupled with strong people management skills.
- Experience working in truck and shovel/mining activities preferably within an open cut operation.
- Due to the nature of these roles, you must also have a current Drivers Licence, Standard 11, Coal Board Medical & S123 tickets.
