The Position:

 

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Operations Consultant to join the Computershare Utility Services – Operations Team based in our Abbotsford head office.

As part of the close-knit team, you will be responsible for many of the key 'meter to cash' activities for our Qld and NSW based clients, managing the accounts and customers, including maintaining and updating account data and the management of billing.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Receive and process data relating to customer activation, transfer, billing, payments, correspondence
  • Provide Specialist support to client
  • Manage billing and payments activities, including system work queues, exceptions and reporting in accordance with Service Level Agreements
  • Resolve complaints and enquiries related to billing, payments, transfers, service orders and charges
  • Actively participate in team discussions, meetings and other team forums, to impart knowledge and ideas and result in team decisions
  • Actively display and promote examples of Computershare Utilities Services internal values in the workplace

To be considered for this position, you will have come from a fast-paced environment where you have first-hand experience in Utilities or back office operations handling.

Essential Skills/ Experience Required:

  • Commercial experience using Microsoft Office Excel
  • Outstanding listening, oral and written communication skills for gathering and providing information
  • Fast learner and able to adapt to new systems and processes
  • A high level of initiative, tackling problems in a methodical and logical manner
  • A passion for providing a fantastic customer experience
  • Analytical and process-driven thinking

Desired Skills:

  • Proven experience in billing, Transfers or payments processing in a utility or related industry
  • Working knowledge of the C&I (Commercial & Industrial) sector, including all key related regulations
  • Experience with Orion and MSATS systems
  • Network and Market reconciliation
