Outstanding opportunities for highly motivated people to be employed as Coal Handling & Processing Plant (CHPP) Operators and Tradespersons. Including CHPP Electricians, Fitters, and Plant Operators/Maintainers at our Narrabri Coal Operations mine site in North West NSW.

To be successful in the role, you will undertake the following indicative duties:

Tradesperson Electrical / Fitter duties include:

• Inspection of the work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects;
• Maintaining plant and equipment to the designated mine Standards;
• Completing of all necessary equipment inspections on your shift;
• Diagnosis and rectification of faults and breakdowns as directed;
• Maintenance duties as required; and
• Assisting the CHPP crew with other duties within the scope of training, skill and competence as required by the Supervisor

Operator/Maintainer duties include:

• All production and train load out duties;
• Inspection of the work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects;
• Daily as required the conducting of Take 5 (or similar) risk assessments before commencing or recommencing a task;
• Maintaining the designated CHPP housekeeping standards;
• Operating CHPP plant and equipment;
• Inspecting and servicing equipment;
• Cleaning and maintenance of tools and work area;
• Assisting the CHPP tradespersons; and
• Training of other personnel

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:

• Electrical trade / licence & qualification mandatory for Electrician positions. Heavy industry electrical experience will be an advantage
• Trade Qualification mandatory for mechanical /Fitter positions
• Must demonstrate a personal commitment to safety;
• Ability to work in a multi-skilled team environment
• Physically fit energetic and willing to learn
• Experience working with and operating heavy equipment will be an advantage
• Experience working in a CHPP Plant will be an advantage
• Prepared to work rotating shifts – days and nights
