Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-care centred retail consultant who would like to be part of an Australian company who looks after the vision impaired. If you have a love for dogs, helping others and focused on community care, this is the role for you.

This role is to provide a planned and solutions based service by engaging with our blind or vision impaired customers and their families. Using knowledge of the products and services offered you will be able to provide advice, along with equipment that is centred on the customers goals.

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Working within the retail store you will be handling customer inquiries: Face to face, phone & email.
  • Provide service and product solutions through a customer care centred approach to the blind or vision impaired
  • Maintaining and organising the retail displays and equipment
  • Achieve your sales through new or up-selling technology and/or aids through multiple channels
  • Providing quotes for internal & external customers in a timely manner across funding types
  • Maintain inventory and stock through management systems
  • Adhoc & Administration duties as required by Regional Manager

The Ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Cert IV in Optical Dispensing or Retail equivalent highly advantageous
  • Experience working in a retail or customer service role
  • Working as a volunteer or supporting volunteers would be highly regarded
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and client management/finance software

You will also be required to have strong time management and organisational skills, as prioritising and meeting deadlines is a large part of the role. Working as part of a team you will need to have strong problem solving and analytic skills as well as being able to negotiate effectively.
