CSG Talent APAC are engaged on a new and exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated Buyer who is looking to step into a new and exciting role with a global business.
My client is looking for a true team player, who wants to share and create innovative ideas with their team and lead by their hands-on approach.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Buying - you will be responsible for planning, selecting and purchasing of all ladies fashion & apparel for this business. You will be actively involved in sourcing new and reviewing existing products, analyzing it's market trends.
- You will be building strong, long-lasting relationships with our key suppliers.
- Strategic and replenishment buying for our top level, international brands.
- Responsible for inventory management including stock turnover targets and the optimisation of stock on hand levels.
- Working closely with the Buying, Design & Planning teams to influence range assortment and ensure commercial and trend aware collections.
- Managing strategies for pricing, margins, competitors and white space opportunities
- Managing financial performance, post seasonal analysis and optimising stock levels for all categories.
Who we are looking for :
- Previous experience as a Senior Buyer is essential. Preferably with a background in ladieswear buying.
- Understanding of the Retail industry and Head office function within the local Australian market.
- Strong attention to detail and sound negotiation skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, ability to work well in a team and be a true leader
- You are a think-on-your-feet problem solver with the ability to make decisions and use initiative in a fast paced environment.
- A passion for fashion and a true brand ambassador for this amazing company!
