Our client MM Electrical Merchandising (MMEM) is the leading distributor of electrical and data components and equipment in Australia. With a national branch footprint of over 250 stores, operating brands include AWM, Haymans, TLE and D&W, their success is a result of an ability to build strong customer relationships, demonstrate industry knowledge and provide a high level of service.
With continued success and expansion, MMEM is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual with proven experience in business management, to take on a Branch Manager position for the Haymans branch in Darwin.
The Role:
The Branch Manager role is a true leadership position, responsible for all aspects of running an electrical wholesaling business, including strategy, finance, sales, operations and people management.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategies to increase profitability and grow revenue and market share
- Working closely with key customers and suppliers to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships
- Managing systems and procedures to ensure efficiency of operations
- Leading, training and developing your team to achieve measurable results
Essential Criteria:
To be successful, you will be a confident and strong leader with an aptitude for maximising sales performance, profitability and growth, in a dynamic and competitive environment.
You will have:
- Strong knowledge of the Electrical Wholesale market
- Vision, drive and the ability to think outside the square
- Exceptional customer focus and a flair for sales/business development
- Outstanding leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer systems and data analysis skills, including the use of Microsoft Office
- A proven track record of leading a team
- A qualification in a relevant discipline and/or formal management training would be a distinct advantage
